Secrets of Shooting Star Lake by Susanna Strom

I'm such a fan of Susanna Strom since the amazing World Fallen series! I couldn't wait to read this book and, although it's completely different from her first series, I'm totally hooked. This story has great world building, strong relatable characters, shifters, fated mates, and plenty of potential for more page flipping books! I can't wait for the next one!

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

Vanessa Mazur is an assistant to the top defensive end in the NFO, Aiden Graves. He is grumpy, surly, demanding, and completely focused on football and she can't take it anymore. But after only a couple weeks he's begging her to come back. He needs her help to get his green card to stay in the country. Stay married for five years and he'll pay off her crippling student debt. She wonders how she'll ever be able to make it five years, but the more she gets to know the man behind the giant reputation the more she realizes she falling for him.
I was excited to see that this book with one of my favorite couples is getting republished with a cute new cover and bonus chapter. MZ is the queen of the slow burn and I don't think Aiden's complicated character could be written any other way. He is extremely introverted and seems cold, but for the people he cares about he's loyal, caring, protective, and a total teddy bear. I enjoyed reading the subtle changes to his character the more time he spent with Vanessa and the little clues to his true feelings that she completely missed. Vanessa was a great character herself, overcoming a difficult childhood to get what she wants out of life, not afraid to be herself. This book was well worth a reread... or two or three lol.

Be Your Everything by Catherine Bybee

Ever since falling for his best friend's little sister Chloe D'Angelo in high school, Dante has done his best to stay away including moving to Italy. Every time he visits home it becomes even harder to deny his feelings. After a crazy bachelorette party for her brother's fiance, Chloe wakes up with a hangover and a ring. Apparently she'd said drunken "I do's" with the only man she'd ever wanted... and couldn't have. Afraid of the rift this would cause within their close families, Chloe flees to Bali until the marriage can be annulled. But Dante is ready to do whatever it takes to convince her this is forever... if only he can find her!
I liked reading about these two tight knit Italian families and Chloe's overprotective older brothers. Their time in Bali sounds absolutely beautiful. Catherine Bybee's sweet romances are always a fun time.

The Rebel King by Kennedy Ryan

This is a continuation of the love story between Lennix and Maxim after the huge cliffhanger at the end of Kingmaker. They've survived so much together and face even more in this book as Maxim continues to prove he'll put her first. I absolutely loved the characters in this series, especially Lennix! She's such a strong female minority character and stands up for what she believes in. It took me a while to decide to read this duet but I'm so glad I finally picked it up and devoured it!
