While I love reading in all forms, traditional or e-book, sometimes I want to enjoy my other hobbies as well. And while audiobooks are great, the amount of books I read would get extremely pricey. I love the Text-to-Speech option on my Kindle Fire. It allows me to listen to whatever ebook I'm currently reading while doing other things, especially my commute back and forth to work. The technology has gotten a lot better so it's not so robotic, although sometimes it still spells out certain words (such as s...h...h... for shh) or Miss Taylor becomes Mississippi Taylor.
I have so many books to review on NetGalley that sometimes I feel overwhelmed or guilty that I'm not reading, but with this wonderful feature I'm still able to "read" and finish crocheting this baby blanket for a family member expecting for the first time.
