By Any Other Name by Jodi Picoult
It's fascinating to me to see where this author finds inspiration for her writing as the topics of her books vary so much. With this book her inspiration comes from work written by Elizabeth Winkler titled: Shakespeare Was a Woman and Other Heresies. Two women, one in the 1500s and one in modern times, struggle to get their work published and resort to ghostwriting. I found Emilia so inspiring and was surprised to find out her character was based on a real person. This book was well researched, the characters were relatable and interesting, and her writing style just pulls me into the story. Some parts of the story did seem to drag on a bit, but overall I loved it!
