This is the third book in the Threads West series and follows the main characters from Cherry Creek almost to their settlements on Uncompahgre in their wagon train. This book covers more of the relationships between characters than the journey iself. Reuben and Rebecca become closer to planning a future together, Sarah has a possible new suitor, causing Zeb to be jealous. The story covers more on the Indian characters also.
Great western/romance/adventure book full of action and descriptions of beautiful scenery! I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

From there they will join the wagon train headed west. All have different pasts and reason for seeking new lives...opportunity, land, and fortune. <br />I like seeing how the characters develop in this book and look forward to reading their stories in Maps of Fate, the next book in the series.

Kill Code by Clive Fleury

In this dystopian world, the rich live in luxury, while the poor wait at the garbage dump to fight for scraps and jobs are few.
Hogan Duran is a disgraced police officer, forced to resign after his partner got shot. When he gets an offer to test to be an officer for the National Security Council, he jumps at the chance. Only one person in the class will be chosen and the tests are brutal and life-threatening. But when secrets about the NSC are revealed, Hogan must decide whether to go along or fight the system.
This story reminded me of the Matrix movies, especially the simulation tests. It's very action-packed and kept me guessing what would happen next.
